Sympatico was founded by Guy Hughes and Steven Crook in 1999. The name stems from like minded thinking and that has always remained key to how we approach all projects from the initial idea right through to delivery.

We specialise in design lead and personalised ‘wow’ factor homes, which are both practical and designed for ‘real’ living. Our clients cover the broadest spectrum of people - all with their own particular requirements. Whatever the request, we’ll find a way to make it happen and in a way that the client feels completely confident and informed all the way.  

We offer all the build services you might think of - new builds, extensions, refurbishments, eco and listed homes and take just as much pleasure in focusing on one room as tackling a whole house. We have our own joinery business, which means that we have in house capacity to tailor everything to client needs.

Over the years we have built up a network of partners, architects and interior designers, to enable us to work with clients to help shape an idea through to completion, though we are just as happy coming on board with an existing team to deliver their brief.

We are committed to providing excellent project management, consistently delivering projects on time and to budget. We apply a ‘can-do’ approach to any issue that may arise. We are hands on and love our work, and we strive to set the highest standards in all that we do from the biggest task to the smallest, whether it’s a structural redesign or how the site is left at night.

Key to our success is that we have a long standing and reliable work force, many of whom have been with us for 5 years, and some since we started the business. We work as a team and we are proud of the work we do.
